One Door Closes....

One door closes and another opens for us. What we sometimes fail to realize is that we might have to stand in the hall for a little while first.

Somebody to Love

Give something for haters to love; you. If you’re not ready for that consider it anyway.  They may need love more than you’ll ever know. They just may need someone like you to love them back to health.

Sometimes

Sometimes women talk but they don’t say something.

I heard this in a line from a 1944 movie: The Falcon in Mexico. I realize it's not PC but in my life I have found it to be true some of the time. Apologies in advance to those that take offense.

Yes

How we love to ear this simple three-letter word in soft vibration against our eardrums.  Rarely have we known a word that so impacts our everyday life. It brings a smile and an inner satisfaction that cannot be equaled except for the four-letter word love.

Kilo: Desire to Communicate

In the digital age communication as we once knew it has been changed forever and the handwritten letter and phone call have given way to email and more prominently the text message.
We can easily get caught up in a long communiqué via text and forget that it in itself is sensory deprivation of the highest order. Pick up the phone engage the sound sense and the emotion behind each word. Write a letter by hand and see how amazed your sendee will be.

Specters

We have been encircled by demons of our vivid imagination.  Why we give credence to these specters is beyond my comprehension. They usually come in the middle of the night before dawn. They are born from FEAR the false evidence appearing real that can make us believers of lies we tell ourselves.

The Knife

We must never take our cognitive abilities for granted. We can be the sharpest tool in the shed one day and butter knife the next.  There are just no guarantees for mental health.

Loose Ends

I want all loose ends in my life either cut or tied in a knot that won’t come undone.

Arrogance

Arrogance is the presumptive attitude that an individual personifies when they think that they possess superior power over inferiors. I recognize arrogance as it often leaves the stain of indignation on those it’s foisted upon.
