In Plain Sight

Mark Nepo inspired me today to write about how the darkness opens to the light. We find our way through the obscurity of the penumbra and the shadow of what can now be seen finds us in the darkness once again. There in plain view we see everything and see nothing. The obvious we were searching for disappears into our unconscious and blinds us as if the darkness had folded over the light we clamored for.

Witness to Love

Today I bear my own witness to a different love than when we first met.  In a way it was more endearing than when I felt a different urge towards her. And of course it’s only natural to feel a more relational than sexual vision of your loved one as time goes by. However, it was wonderful to know that beneath the urges of the flesh were uncovered the deepest love I have ever known.

Power

We give more power to the thought of what we lack than to the dynamism of abundance.

Afraid some of us are to putting down roots no deeper than a windowsill plant.

A Candles Flame

How is it that when we need to bring fire to a situation we can only muster the flame on a candle?

All good things come to those who wait unless of course you decide to run away from it.

Sunday Knocks

Never give advice no matter how many times someone asks for it. Because if it’s wrong you’ll get blamed and in the oft chance that it is sound  it will be their idea anyway.

Speculation lets us take delusion and make it rational.

Patience is steering one degree away from anger.

Don't Sip, Pour

Don’t sip anger through a straw; pour it in a glass instead.

House of Strangers

When the love light grows dim what was once was a house of warmth and love becomes a cold and drafty place where only the sounds of silence can be heard amongst the breeze of medicated indifference.
