Tree Branches
Why am I here? What will be my legacy when it’s all said and done? All said and done? What the hell does that mean? It is an emblematic cliché that belongs in the archives of meaningless phrases that try to capture the human experience in a few words that have a catchy rhythm to them. Often when climbing a tree I can lose my intent, which is to climb the tree, and a leaf on a branch distracts me and I never finish climbing that tree. Like right now as I failed to address my questions I just asked.

Immediate Gratification
Immediate gratification is a funny thing because once you sate it you gain that window of rationality again. And when it does clamor the next time to satisfy some urge or need, you gain the strength to stave off that impulse with more effectiveness because it wasn't as satisfying as our mind had conjured it to be in the first place.

Sunday Knock
Idioms like: “It is what it is” and “Whatever” are pervasive in American Society today and both say I don’t give a damn. Well I certainly do and throwaway dialogue is for those that think they cannot change things or the courage that they can.

Naming It
The best days are my worst days for a number of reasons. One, they don't last long, and the next day is 1000 times better. What I feared never looked the same the next day. I realize I had no faith and that I don't have to let what someone did or didn't do be the reason I created the unhappiness to begin with. And lastly my greatest fear never really has a name to begin with, it was just a passing thunderstorm, noisy but lightning never struck.

Sunday Knocks Part VI
The last shall be first and the first well they can come in second if they can stand it.
I am not who I think I am. I read that in "Awakening the Buddha Within" by Lama Surya Das. Self-constructed labels are self-fulfilling prophecies so be careful what you don’t call yourself.
There ought to be a law keeping the word “Magical” out of car commercials. Is there nothing sacred?
I don’t want to go back in time because I may not recognize the person I am now.
